A little about The Cat of Bubastes

It begins with a great battle between King Thutmost III and the king of Rebu. Which was a nearby small village. Thutmost won and the rest of the men of the Rebu begged for mercy. The king died in battle and his family moaned in grief. The queen so heart broken, drinks poison because she would rather join her husband in death than be a slave. This leaves her son, the prince Amuba, with his bodyguard to become slaves. Amuba and his bodyguard, Jethro, are sent to serve the high priest of Egypt. The high priest is a kind master to them and he was so ‘kind’ that he even gave Amuba to his son, Chebron. I for one don’t find this super nice and kind, but O.K. It does however become better as the two boys become best friends and go on adventures together. Jethro is sometimes invited as well.

A while later a hawk is attacking the ducks of the palace and so Chebron and Amuba go and start fighting the hawk. They were throwing spears, and while Amuba hits the hawk Chebron’s arrow is knocked off course and went flying into the cat pavilion. As you all should know cats were very important to the Egyptians and so this was bad. It gets even worse when they see that it hits a cat and that cat happens be a very special cat, The Cat of Bubastes. This cat played an important role to the Egyptian religion so this was even worse than it was before. I’d hate to be Chebron right now. This cat also happened to be the chief of all animals as well as the most beautiful cat. Chebron tells his father and his father tells him that he believes that cats are as equal to to all other sacred animals. He is then faced with a choice, he can turn himself in or run away with Amuba.

I know that the rest of the story will be sad, probably because of how said it is already. Because of the Egyptians culture, Chebron will probably be put to death.  I like the book so far and it has been really sad, but it is still a good book.

An Israel Ruler

After Moses died the Israelites needed another person to lead them. Joshua then becomes leader over them. The people decide to send 2 spies to the city of Jericho, where Rahab hides them. Rahab is a woman from the city who was influenced by the Lord to be the two men’s house keeper. So while the spies are in the city they were staying in her home. A little while later they are able to escape the city without getting found and return home. Joshua sent the spies there to see if the city was strong because they were going to try and over throw them. When the spies return they tell Joshua that the city is indeed strong but they believe the Lord will help them win. So the people of Israel go to cross the Jordan river but the river was in flood at this time of year. So in faith the priests set foot into the water and it kind of does what the red sea did with Moses, it makes a clear path for them to go across by going dry. And the city of Jericho is destroyed by God without a fight taking place. The whole city is burned and the Israelites take their loot for the building of there future temple.

After School

I’m home schooled, so I get done before most people, so what I like to do is go on and make new videos. Sometimes I do a small craft or write a story. I like to sing and play games too.

In the summer I like to go outside and play with my friends super early in the morning. When they have to go back to school I get sad but I just do my work and go as fast as I can so that I play as soon as they can.

The Plague of Frogs

The plague of frogs is the second plague that happened to the Israelites in Egypt in the time of Moses. If I lived in Egypt when this happened I would be hiding inside my house. Because I hate frogs. Frogs are gross and slimy and just disgusting! However, some types of frogs appear to be adorable, like all of the colorful frogs found in the Amazon forest. I love those, they might be poisonous, but they still are super cute and adorable. The frogs that came in the  plague are the big, super slimy, gross ones.  And they were everywhere! So that is all that I would do other than eat, sleep, and drink.

People who try to go against Gods will

When the people in the Bible try to go against Gods will they get punished pretty badly. In fact one time is when Dathan and Abiram are going against God because they don’t feel that Aaron should be the high priest. They actually get swallowed up by the earth itself. How it happens is God tells Moses that if they kept doing this, going against him, then he would do something to them that no man has ever seen, that has never ever happened before. So when they did continue to go against God he opened up the earth and Dathan and Abiram and their families were all swallowed up by the earth. The next part of the story goes about how after the two men’s followers see this they try to flee, but they can’t because in the start of their rebellion they burned down the taburnacle. So they were then, after trying to run away, burned and consumed in the fire.

My morning/daily routine is set in sequential order, which means the order I do things matter. The first thing in the morning that I do is read my scriptures and say my morning prayers. Then I shower and get dressed. Then after those two things are done it is breakfast time, after breakfast I brush my teeth and floss. I then start to get my school done. First with doing math then history and finally English. After all those I get my extra stuff done last, like typing, spelling, reading, Spanish and logic.

After all that I get to have to make sure my chores are done. I have to sweep, do my kitchen chores, maybe laundry then I finally have free time and can play with my dog.
